We will be holding a screening of the movie "A Sea Change," which follows the journey of retired history teacher Sven Huseby on his quest to discover what is happening to the world’s oceans. The screening will be held Thursday, March 25th at 7:00 p.m. in Love Auditorium on Duke's West Campus. Click here to learn more about the movie and screening details.

Our Walking Fish community-supported fisheries (CSF) pilot project launched with great success on Sept. 17. We sold a total of 401 shares, equaling 507 pounds of local seafood each week.

DukeFish is the graduate student chapter of the American Fisheries Society at Duke University. Our mission is to promote sustainable fisheries and consumer practices by reaching out to our peers, community members, and local industries through education, outreach, and community participation.

DukeFish has organized a community-supported fisheries (CSF) pilot project. Participants in Durham can sign up for regular deliveries of locally caught seafood. Visit Walking Fish to learn more.

Some of our regular yearly events include selling local seafood at the NC Seafood Festival, hosting an aquaculture lecture series at the Duke Marine lab, and participating in Duke’s Earth Jam festival.
